About the StreetWorks Training Program
StreetWorks offers a cohesive training program for outreach and community-based youth workers across the state of Minnesota. All parts of the program are grounded in our ecosystem model, four core principles, and the core purpose of outreach. Our trainings are centered on community-based learning, where participants grow together through shared discussion, collective problem‑solving, and learning from both trainers and peers.
The program includes two complementary components—the Foundations course and the Strategies modules—designed to support both big‑picture understanding and practical skill development. While the Foundations course and each Strategies module can be taken on their own, participants gain the most from completing the full series.
Foundations of Outreach in Youth Services
Foundations of Outreach in Youth Services is a 4-part intensive series that dives deep into the philosophies and frameworks of effective youth work. The virtual classroom sessions will provide foundational principles that inform safe and effective work with youth experiencing or at risk of homelessness and exploitation. This training is designed to help professionals across the state of Minnesota develop tools and strategies that meet the needs of young people in their contexts.

Strategies of Outreach in Youth Services
Strategies of Outreach in Youth Services is a collection of 2‑hour training modules focused on applying key principles to real‑world outreach practice. Each module covers a specific topic and provides tools youth workers can use immediately in their context.

Training Prices
StreetWorks is able to design, coordinate, and deliver high‑quality, community‑responsive trainings, and offer them at a greatly reduced and accessible rate, thanks to the generous funding provided by the Carlson Family Foundation and MN HHSSA.
Our 2026 pricing reflects this reduced rate:
- Foundations: $225
- Strategies Modules: $100 per module

StreetWorks Training is deeply committed to accessibility. Our current pricing reflects a significant subsidy from our grant partners at HHSSA, reducing the cost far below the true expense of providing this level of training.
